Club members brought their signature dishes and homemade gifts for a white elephant exchange. Cindy's neighbors provided a generous supply of cookies.
After a brief meeting led by Jill Denlea, and the blessing given by Vicky Rice, each member chose lunch from the Tam’s Backstage menu. The Spring luncheon showcased Selma Paul’s centerpieces made from fresh vegetables of cabbage and kale supporting white and pale green hydrangea and double white tulips. Two members were gifted the centerpieces: Lynn Boeve in honor of her birthday and Margie Smith for her 47th wedding anniversary.
Good fellowship and a good meal were enjoyed by all.
The building’s schoolhouse history made this event extra special.
Eighteen club members enjoyed fellowship and great food at the December 14 holiday luncheon in Cindy's home.
Members brought gifts they had baked, grown or sewn -
not exceeding $10.00 in value.
Each member brought a covered dish for the luncheon.
Our spring luncheon was held at the lovely home of honorary member Ruth Sutton. President Heidi Stuckman (at rear) conducted only a brief meeting before the luncheon. She thanked Ruth for hosting the 22 in attendance.
A collection of books from former member Helga Palframan (left)
was on display, and free for taking.
Frances Tidd demonstrated assembling colorful bird houses with various botanical items enhancing them.
She plans to make the 18 needed for The Oaks and these will be used on tables in April.
Twenty-two club members with guests enjoyed a delicious meal.
The white elephant gift exchange got a little hostile as the metal container was very popular!
