Improving Our Homes & Community One Plant At A Time
The Charles F. Welch Memorial Garden was created in 1998 with the assistance of Forsyth County Master Gardeners.
It is perpetually maintained by Cumming Garden Club, with some materials provided by the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department.
In anticipation of National Garden Week June 5-11, CGC workers pose in front of the arbor entrance to the memorial garden.
With help from other Cumming Garden Club members, Linda Hardie applied for a grant from National Garden Clubs Inc. for improvements to the Memorial Garden in Poole's Mill Park.
As part of their community service requirement, students laid mulch and pine straw provided by the Forsyth County Parks Department.
